Modern Playhouse
Client: Wickey, Germany
A playhouse range in modern style, designed in close collaboration with the founder of Wickey and the Wickey team.
The playhouse range has two height versions. The entrance of the high version is hidden inside the base. A user get inside by using the hidden ladder and enters the house through an opening under the table.
The elevated cube design offers an enjoyable play space and serves as an architectural focal point in a garden.
The product range is intended for private use and is developed in accordance with the DIN EN 71 norms for safety of toys for domestic use.
Other products designed with the company are developed according to the EN 1776 norms for public playground equipment, for example
these spring rockers.
The lower version of the product still features a floor that is raised above ground level.
A low slide makes the product suitable for younger children.
The range was developed to be compatible with the available production facilities, designed for manufacturing.
I helped designing initial product ideas, developing modular concepts, and creating detailed 3D models and files for prototyping. I also made the playhouse images (renderings) on this page.
